leather clothing
Story
Our leather is sourced from vintage and second hand clothing like trousers, skirts and jackets, very common in the 80s. We use its shapes and details to create patchwork pieces that are good  quality and long lasting. Leather is an abundant second hand material that due to its resistance can last a lifetime.
Impact
Leather production not only involves the use of animal skins but it also contributes to the deforestation to obtain cattle pasture and high CO2 emissions. Processing a ton of leather produces between 20000 and 80000 liters of residual water, containing 250 mg/L  of chrome and  500 mg/L of sulfide, plus pesticides. This is also a wasted material in terms that for 1000kg of material only a 26% can be converted into leather.
