leather belt
belts are created to strech, to create tensions. That’s what they also make in our pieces, to highlight the contrast among textures and materials.
Leather production not only involves the use of animal skins but it also contributes to the deforestation to obtain cattle pasture and high CO2 emissions. Processing a ton of leather produces between 20000 and 80000 liters of residual water, containing 250 mg/L  of chrome and  500 mg/L of sulfide, plus pesticides. This is also a wasted material in terms that for 1000kg of material only a 26% can be converted into leather.
